Daily Maths

For the last few weeks we have been working on a new daily maths programme where we use our daily five reading routines and stamina to make independent choices. Here are a few picture so show off our stamina and independence.

Maths with Someone

Studyladder Maths

The other choices are ipad maths, basic facts, create a lesson (on educreations app) and off course teacher workshops, follow up activities and conferencing on our goals.

Te RITO 2 kids love their independence!

This is the view from room 2 this morning as the snow started to settle on the playground. I hope all the Richmond RITO kids stay warm and dry this weekend.

Leave a comment if you get up to something exciting!

Honest Learning

Room 2 have been learning about time with Matua Nicholas on Thursdays. I smiled when James came to show me his favourite time of the school day, hometime! I like it honest and a fantastic clock to match! What time do we finish school again?

Circles teach a Maths lesson

Today, We tried using a new app called edu creations to create a lesson explaining what we are doing in maths. What do you think? Check out the Maths lessons tab above to see more.

Our garden

We picked the vegetables from our garden. We will take them home and wash them first. Then we can make yummy healthy food with them, like salad!

In the meantime here's a good video explaining exactly what a 'blog' is:

Roots of Empathy Visit

What a wonderful start to the week. This morning we had a much-awaited visit from our Roots of Empathy 'Teacher'  Baby Freddie. He has grown so much since we last saw him and his giggles filled up all our buckets!
